The basis of all movements is the desire for analogy with game. The model of Dadabiti Avant-Ura! comes fore as the ideal of contemporary society. How is it possible to maintain positive attitude towards life? Today, we live in dark reality, which is disjointed and devoid of color and wonderfulness. Genuine creations of contemporary art recover what is lost. Their opposition to rejectionism is based on the idea of inevitable changing World.
From May to July 2007, our international group of artists will take residency on a plot of land in the Almond Garden, an idyllic landscape of blossoming almond trees settled in a valley just outside the city. There we will erect a temporary structure designed by Gregg Fleishman. This shelter structure will serve as on-site refuge and also provide an indoor space for exhibitions, performances, workshops, film shoots, and any aspect of creative production that requires protection from the elements. This structure being a modular one, it is easily assembled by hand on location from uniquely shaped panels of wood, using no nails or fasteners of any kind. Its presence in this location will be exhilarating for visitors due to its novel form and unusual method of assembly, both of which transcend the boundaries of expectation. It provides an exceptional example of how mathematical concepts are the prototypes for the dynamics of thought and action; functional synergetics, an experiment in 'utopic realism', a true Kindergarten for adults.
The complementary aspect of the expedition, and a more permanent alteration to the terrain, will be the collaborative construction of a fence surrounding the property. Built from the found detritus of urban life, this action examines the relevance of borders and boundaries, and plays at the intersection of biological growth processes and consumer waste. Inviting all to contribute reclaimed materials, found objects, scraps, and hopefully labor, we intend to create a work of sculpture more than an ordinary wall; a collision of earthworks with assemblage. The yard created will thus becomes a laboratory of innovative and conceptual form with a festal atmosphere of imagination, the playground. We will encourage all to participate in this, and anticipate many visitors to the site as it evolves over the course of the project. Focusing on forms of nature (or life, and things of the world), forms of beauty (art), and forms of knowledge (science, mathematics and especially geometry), together we will fabricate an environment embodying our vision of cooperative transformation. A seed is being planted for an ongoing partnership between artists' communities, an educational experiment bound up in the joy of action. This inaugural event will provide a strong foundation for what we envision as a perennial celebration concurrent with the spectacular display of the almond blossoms in late spring.
Planning for this endeavor has been ongoing since a May 2006 trip to Tbilisi, when many opportunities for collaboration became apparent. As the blossoming season approaches, arrangements for the shipping of the structure is of primary concern, as it would need to depart ahead of us in a container. We anticipate arriving in Georgia mid-May, and completion by mid-July.

We call this new space Muse Fortress, for we hope that it will inspire a generation of artists, as we draw inspiration from the strength of the symbol of the fortress, in a land famous for its rugged and remote fortresses and outposts. Our project sets out to redefine the fortress, however, as an institution of creativity in a spirit of peace and mutual aid.
Nana generates an atmosphere of the fantastic manifested through a projection/performance and interactive puzzle-paintings. Her work investigates critical questions about the language of home, the architecture of migration, globalization, internationalism and exchange in burgeoning cultural environments that are undergoing significant political and economic change. In response to crises in urban development and in general issues of borders in Tbilissi, her native city, she explores ideas about public, private and free spaces, experimentation, and living in the most fulfilling way. With a migratory notion of what 'home' is, her work constantly evolves through the imaginative play of her everyday actions. Nana uproots the intersections of memory, translucent history and worlds between dreams and realities. Her being strives to embody the achievement of personal utopian reality.
